<p><i>Are you interested in medical research and will learn more about infection biology from clinical perspectives? Then this is the course for you! </i><br><i>During the course, you will deepen your knowledge in infectious medicine, medical microbiology and virology with a focus on interactions between host and pathogenic microorganisms, and with a perspective on clinical and global medicine. You will learn about human pathogenic microorganisms, interactions between host and pathogens, virulence strategies employed by the pathogenic microbes, antimicrobial agents and resistance to them. The course also includes experimental and clinical methods in medical microbiology as well as literature study. </i><br><i>Apply now and deepen your knowledge of infectious biology!</i></p>

165 ECTS credits passed in a major subject area with relevance for biomedical sciences, equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen with at least 90ECTS credits in the following subjects: -biochemistry -cell biology -molecular biology -genetics -gene technology -microbiology -physiology -immunology -histology -anatomy -pathology or similar. English corresponding to the level of English in Swedish upper secondary education (Engelska 6 or Engelska nivå 2) Exemption from Swedish.
