Overview
<p>The course gives participants the prerequisites to implementing and managing an information security management system (ISMS). The course contains an introduction to the field of systematic information security work, in addition to six different elements with theoretical and practical elements. Theory building is based on standards, methods and tools for information security management systems. Current research findings are being discussed in order to provide in-depth knowledge in the field. The practical application is based on international/national regulations and recommendations related to information security management systems. In addition, the practical application is based on assignments undertaken in external organisations in order to provide the skills and ability to apply an ISMS in practice.</p>

A Bachelor's degree (equivalent to a Swedish kandidatexamen) within the fields of informatics or computer science or the equivalent.A further requirement is proof of skills in English, equivalent of studies at upper secondary level in Sweden, known as English 6 or English level 2. This is normally demonstrated by means of an internationally recognized test, e.g., IELTS, TOEFL, or an equivalent.
