Overview
Kursen innehåller fördjupade teoretiska studier i omvårdnad inom intensivvård, behovsinventering och omvårdnadshandlingar till patienter i alla åldrar med olika sjukdomstillstånd. I kursen ingår patofysiologi, diagnos och behandling samt infektionsprevention och hygien vid vanliga sjukdomstillstånd. Vidare ingår övervaknings- och behandlingsstrategier till svårt sjuk patient, komplementära och alternativa metoder (KAM), specifik farmakologi och medicinsk teknik inom verksamhetsområdet. Kursen innehåller studier i patientsäkerhet, teamarbete, ledarskap, kommunikation och etik samt moment i systematiskt omhändertagande. Kursen omfattar två veckor (3 hp) verksamhetsförlagd utbildning. Aspekter på intersektionalitet behandlas i relation till kursens innehåll. Författningar som styr verksamheten behandlas.
