Kursen behandlar digitala artefakters användargränssnitt med fokus på användare och den brukskontext de befinner sig i. Kursen tar upp frågor om allestädes närvarande datorkraft (ubiquitous computing), i olika format och på olika platser. Gängse metoder för värdering och skapande av digitala produkter i olika designfaser och -kontexter berörs. En central del i kursen utgörs av designprocessens olika delar såsom förstudie, skapande, gestaltning och utvärdering av designförslag.
