Overview
The course starts with a brief inroduction to development of the international trade and structure of the international trade. Second, it deals with the theory of international trade, trade policies, economic integration, international capital movement and foreign direct investments. Third it deals with different economic, political and cultural aspects relevant for the international economic system and the role played by the multinational corporations (MNCs) and subcontractors. Finally, political explanations for resistance to free-trade are discussed.
