Overview
The course gives students the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge related to their field of study in practice. The course comprises a period of practical placement in an organisation relevant to the field of study. The practical placement includes varied tasks at a company and the opportunity to gain insight into its operations. Students are assigned a placement supervisor and are also expected to stay in touch with their university teacher throughout the course. At the end of the course, students present a report in oral and written form. Students are expected to find and apply for a suitable practical placement in consultation with the course convener. Students submit a description of the work involved for the approval of the course convener.

60 ECTS credits completed in the Surveying and Mapping Programme or 60 ECTS credits completed in the Surveying Technology and Geographical IT Engineering Programme, or equivalent.
