<p>Are you curious about biomaterials and how they are used in various biomedical applications? Do you want to learn the basic characterization methods of different types of biomaterials and be able to describe the basics of drug delivery? Obtain the skills to be able to discuss how tissue engineering and drug delivery have improved people's lives.</p><p>KEMA91. The overall objective of the course is to provide students with a basic introduction to biomaterials in biomedical applications and their advantages and limitations. The most important definitions and concepts will be explained and discussed. During the course, related treatments such as sterilization, surface modifications, drug delivery and tissue engineering will be discussed. General eligibility and requirements for English proficiency corresponding to English 6 from Swedish upper secondary school, and have passed 30 credits in chemistry courses equivalent to: KEMA20 General Chemistry, 15 credits, KEMA01 Organic Chemistry - Basic Course, 7.5 credits, and KEMA03 Biochemistry - Basic Course, 7.5 credits
