Overview
This course focuses on basic structural features of the Japanese language, in order to facilitate students’ learning in Japanese language courses and/or the teaching of Japanese as 2nd language. A brief survey of the nature of language (phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics) and other related areas such as pragmatics, lexicon, and writing system will be discussed.
