I kursen identifieras och redogörs för en problemställning inom audiovisuella studier, och hur en undersökning med både gestaltande och vetenskapligt förhållningssätt kan planeras. Tidigare forskning definieras, vetenskaplig metod och tillvägagångssätt preciseras. Här diskuteras också möjliga ingångar till ett audiovisuellt gestaltningsarbete som relaterar till problemställningen. Etiska frågor relaterade till problemområdet och den valda metoden samt hur de kan hanteras inom ramen för en vetenskaplig uppsats diskuteras.

Bachelor‘s degree in music, sound and music production, composition, visual production, audiovisual production, graphic design, or teaching degree with a focus on media production, alternatively a bachelor‘s degree combined with documented knowledge and experience of production processes and current technology in the audio and/or visual field.
