Overview
<p>The course covers the following topics: the origins of life and its history, basic oceanography and sampling methods, how the ocean as a habitat works and differs from land habitats, surveys of marine plant and animal groups, how the organisms in the ocean interact with each other and their environment, marine habitats and environmental issues for sea.</p> <p>The course includes field work based at a field station on a weekend (Friday afternoon - Sunday dinner) where you can get acquainted with sampling methodology and our common marine species - plants and animals.</p>
