Overview
The course introduces work life science theory with a focus on the development and characteristics of the Swedish labour market system. The course addresses issues of institutional conditions and the Swedish model of industrial relations, the functioning of the labour market, labour market and welfare policies, and structural change. How the organisation of the labour market interacts with good work and socially sustainable development is discussed. Issues of gender, class, ethnicity and age related to employment, unemployment, segregation and health in the labour market are highlighted, and an orientation in these themes is given during the course.
