Kursen behandlar frågor om arbetsmarknadens och arbetets förändring under 1900-talet och 2000-talets början. I kursen lär du dig problematisera hur arbets- och livsvillkor kan skilja sig åt beroende på kön, klass, etnicitet och ålder. Du analyserar olika strategier för förändring eller mot förändring i förhållande till lika villkor i arbetslivet. Andra teman som berörs är hur välfärdssamhällets omvandling och kraven på flexibilitet och anpassning till en ökad global konkurrens inverkat på såväl individer som kollektiv.
