Overview
Some types of environments are more attractive to people than others and can provide restoration, recreation, socialisation, etc. A town square may be barren and repelling, another may be crowded and attractive. Forests may invoke different emotions than seashores. The aim of this course is to interpret different types of environments or landscapes by applying models and tools that are relevant in a user perspective. Students go through phases of theory, preparation and application with the ultimate goal to understand how to evaluate landscapes from a user perspective. The course consists of four main blocks including a number of compulsory online elements see information below from course leader.
