Overview
This course gives a theoretical and methodological foundation for linguistic analysis above the clause level by providing an overview of current theories and methodologies within discourse and interaction analysis, experience of applying the methods on concrete linguistic data and experience of using theories in the field as a starting point for analysing concrete linguistic data.

Entry requirements
A degree of 180 ECTS credits in a linguistic main field with an individual degree project in a linguistic main field. Alternatively, a master’s degree in speech and language pathology. Alternatively, a degree of 180 ECTS credits in psychology, cognitive science, or equivalent with an individual degree project with a linguistic profile, alternatively a bachelor’s degree in pre-school education with an individual degree project (or equivalent) with a linguistic profile, or a teacher’s degree with a linguistic profile with an independent degree project (or equivalent) in a language included in the teacher’s degree. Swedish upper secondary school course English 6 or equivalent.
