Kursen behandlar lärares professionella uppgift att främja och ge förutsättningar för barns, elevers och vuxnas lärande både på grupp- och individnivå. Med utgångspunkt i teorier om social och kognitiv utveckling bearbetas centrala didaktiska begrepp av relevans för planering och analys av undervisning och lärande. Frågor om val av mål, innehåll och metoder i undervisning behandlas liksom olika lärprocesser. Lärares didaktiska förmågor tränas och analyseras. Vidare studeras och analyseras individuella och kontextuella villkor för undervisning och lärande i skola/förskola/fritidshem. Röst och tal introduceras.
