Overview
The course is part of the second semester of the Mathematics program, but can also be taken as a stand-alone course. The course is suitable for those who have taken a first course in linear algebra and who want to deepen and generalize their knowledge in the area, including complex vector spaces, inner products, orthogonalization and the spectral theorem. The second part of the course is an introduction to group theory, a fundamental part of modern algebra that also has applications in, for example, physics, chemistry and cryptography.
