Overview
The course is part of the first semester of the Mathematics program, but can also be taken as a stand-alone course. You will learn the basics of linear algebra: linear systems of equations and Gaussian elimination, linear geometry and vectors, linear maps and their matrices, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, and linear spaces and subspaces. Linear algebra is a prerequisite for most areas of mathematics, but is also used in applications such as modeling and computational mathematics.
