Vad utmärker modern barn och ungdomslitteratur? Denna kurs diskuterar både berättartekniska och tematiska aspekter av detta. I delkurs 1 arbetar vi med dels crossoverbegreppet och diskuterar hur gränserna mellan exempelvis ungdomslitteratur och vuxenlitteratur är alltmer flytande och vad det kan bero på. Dels resonerar vi kring intertextualitet och hur texter hänger ihop med andra texter. Varför får vi hela tiden nya versioner av klassiska folksagor? I delkurs 2 är det makt som står i fokus. Genom att djupdyka ner i en rad barn och ungdomsböcker resonerar vi kring frågor om bland annat genus och etnicitet.

1-90 credits comparative literature or library and informationscience or a teacher's degree with Swedish as main subject with 90 hp including an individual essay of at least 15 hp or the equivalent. You also need Swedish 3 and English 6 or Swedish, level 3 and English, level 2.
