Den här kursen ger dig färdigheter att närstudera litterära texter, liksom att tolka och förstå äldre litteratur. Kursen utvecklar den kunskap om litteraturhistorien som grundlagts under tidigare kurs. Kursen fördjupar din förmåga att tillämpa litteraturvetenskaplig teori och metod, och syftar till att ytterligare utveckla förmågan att kommunicera effektivt i tal och skrift, det senare med tyngdpunkt på kommunikation om litteratur och basalt akademiskt skrivande.

22,5 hp från Litteraturvetenskap A inklusive delkurserna Introduktion till litteraturstudiet, 7,5 hp, Från antiken till tidigmodern tid (800 f.Kr. - 1600), 7,5 hp och Från renässans till realism (1600 - 1880), 7,5 hp, alternativt 45 hp i Liberal Arts och Litteraturhistorisk översikt, 15 hp.
