I denna kurs genomför du en undersökning och författar en uppsats. Du väljer själv ämne i samråd med en handledare som hjälper dig med frågor kring undersökningens upplägg och uppsatsskrivandet. Kursen har viss schemalagd undervisning kring mer generella frågor vid undersökningar och uppsatsarbeten. Efter kursen skall du ha lärt dig att självständigt avgränsa och utföra en forsknings- eller utredningsuppgift som har relevans för teoribildningen på området samt att författa och försvara en uppsats.

Entry requirements
Kandidatexamen med minst 60 hp i sociologi. Därtill krävs godkänt betyg på en kärnkurs i sociologi på avancerad nivå samt en kurs i metod på avancerad nivå eller motsvarande kunskaper. Dessutom krävs språkkunskaper motsvarande Svenska B/Svenska 3 From Autumn 2025 the following entry requirement: Admission to the course requires a bachelor's degree in a major field of social science and a passing grade in second-cycle courses corresponding to at least 30 credits in sociology, of which at least 15 credits in core courses and 15 credits in research methods.
