I kursen behandlas traditionella företagsekonomiska fält såsom redovisning och budgetering. Grundläggande ekonomiska begrepp gås igenom, liksom upprättandet av redovisningsrapporter, såväl externa som interna. Finansiella nyckeltal och personalnyckeltal beräknas och personalekonomiska kalkyler upprättas samt kopplas till hur de kan användas för analys och verksamhetsstyrning. Vidare behandlas modeller för verksamhetsstyrning liksom verksamheters samhällsansvar, bland annat hållbart företagande.
