Plastisk bearbetning: Analys av energi-, effekt- och kraftbehov vid t.ex. smidning, pressning, bockning, tråd- och plåttillverkning. Skärande bearbetning: Analys av skärförlopp, förslitning och livslängd för verktyg med tonvikten på svarvning, fräsning (3-axlig och 5-axlig), borrning och slipning. Gjutning: Centrifugalgjutning, vaxursmältning, sandgjutning. Pulvermetallurgi: Pulverframställning, pulverpressning, sintring och efterbearbetning. Övriga tillverkningsmetoder: Vattenskärning, laserskärning, gnistning, etsning och extrudering. Snabb prototypframställning: Metoder för framställning av 3-D detaljer av polymer- och metallmaterial.
