Mask and Embodied Dramaturgy

<p>Explore new ways of creating theatrical expression through masks, clowning, bouffon, and physical storytelling. In this course, you’ll develop your acting skills through practical work with the body, space, objects, and audience interaction.</p><p>Mask and Embodied Dramaturgy is a practical course for those who want to deepen their acting through physical and collective stage work. The course explores how the body, space, objects, and the audience interact when creating meaning on stage. </p><p>You will work with several different forms of expression, including neutral and expressive mask, clown, and bouffon. Through the course, you’ll develop your ability to portray characters, create stage situations, and explore the relationship between the body, movement, and storytelling. </p><p>A central part of the course is the In-Balance method, where you’ll work with elements such as rhythm, breathing, listening, and interaction. You’ll also explore how everyday objects can be used as stage tools and how they influence the story on stage. </p><p>The course also includes work with short excerpts from classical and modern texts. By combining text, body and space, you’ll explore different ways of creating theatrical expression.</p>
