Avklarade kurser på avancerad nivå om minst 60 hp, varav 45 hp inom huvudområdet svenska som andraspråk. Godkänd på kurserna SSA265 Individperspektiv på andraspråksinlärning, SSA266 Sociala perspektiv på andraspråksutveckling, SSA257 Litteracitet i en flerspråkig kontext, SSA254 Metoder inom andraspråkforskning samt SSA260 Språkanalys. Detta förutsätter i sin tur en kandidatexamen med 90 hp i svenska som andraspråk eller 90 hp i svenska språket/nordiska språk samt ytterligare 90 hp utöver huvudämnet, eller motsvarande. Därutöver krävs språkkunskaper motsvarande: Svenska 3 eller svenska som andraspråk 3 och Engelska 6 Eller: Svenska nivå 3 eller Svenska som andraspråk nivå 3 och Engelska nivå 2
