Overview
The Master’s programme in Occupational Therapy is a web-based programme, offering flexibility to study anywhere and almost anytime. Students can choose to study part-time (50% study pace) or full-time (100% study pace) and complete the programme within four years or two years, respectively. Programme students can combine work with their studies, providing opportunities to apply their acquired knowledge in their work and to use practice-related questions as a starting point to formulate research questions or develop ideas in course assignments. Occupational therapy is a client-centred health profession concerned with promoting health and well-being through everyday activities. The programme is intended to help students expand their knowledge in the field and develop professionally. Students may choose to focus on broad topics in occupational therapy or particular areas that are relevant to their practice and contexts. Careers in occupational therapy range from positions within home care, private practices, health boards and hospitals to research centers, corporations, rehabilitation companies and within government sectors.
