<p>Understand how the EU works and why it matters. This international master’s programme gives you the tools to explore European politics and law as well as Europe’s role in global affairs - and prepares you for a career in policy making, diplomacy or international cooperation.</p><p>The Master's program in European Studies provides in-depth knowledge of EU institutions, legislation, governance, and external relations. You will learn how the EU works, how decisions are made, and how Europe interacts with the rest of the world. It combines theory-based courses with practical experience and is taught by researchers with in-depth knowledge of European integration. </p><p>With a long tradition of European studies and a strong international profile, the programme attracts students from across the world. It prepares you for careers in EU-related public administration, international organisations, the private sector, or for future doctoral studies.</p>

Entry requirements
To be eligible for the programme the applicant must have the equivalent of a Swedish Bachelor’s degree with a major (i.e. at least 90 ECTS credits) in Political Science or equivalent. A good command of spoken and written English, equivalent to English B/English 6/English level 2 (advanced) proficiency in the Swedish secondary system, is required. Equivalent assessments will be made according to national guidelines. To be eligible for the specialisation Public Administration a good command of spoken and written Swedish, equivalent to Swedish B/3/Level 3 proficiency in the Swedish secondary system, is also required.
