Overview
Are you fascinated by innovative medical breakthroughs like next-generation vaccines, gene and cell therapies, or life-changing immunotherapies? These innovations are part of the rapidly evolving world of biopharmaceuticals - also known as biologics or biological drugs – a dynamic and expanding frontier in science and pharmaceutical industry. Join our Master's programme in Biopharmaceuticals, which offers a unique opportunity to explore the *entire journey* of a biopharmaceutical product - from its initial design and molecular development, through production, analysis, and pre-clinical testing using advanced methods and techniques, all the way to clinical testing and real-world use. Our Master’s programme is tightly integrated with ongoing research on biopharmaceuticals at Uppsala University and closely connected to the thriving biotech ecosystem of Uppsala. As a student, you will experience hands-on, research-driven learning, and are given the opportunity to complete your Master’s thesis either within one of Uppsala University's cutting-edge research labs, at a partner university, with a regulatory agency, or inside an innovative biotech company. You will gain valuable knowledge and experience that pave the way for a career in academic research, the global biopharma industry, or regulatory and intellectual property sectors. All courses are taught in English.
