Overview
The Master's programme in Classical Archaeology and Ancient History is for students who wish to gain an in-depth knowledge of the ancient Greek and Roman world through a combination of material and textual sources. The programme gives you the ability to carry out comprehensive analyses and plan large projects. You will also develop advanced skills such as examining and evaluating different types of source material and claims. Furthermore, there are opportunities to do an internship in a relevant professional environment, such as museums, archives, at our overseas institutes or within other aspects of cultural heritage management. Our graduates work as archaeologists, archivists, museum curators, museum educators, municipal and state investigators, aid workers, tour leaders, guides, cultural writers, teachers, university assistant researchers and doctoral candidates. The language of instruction is English.

Entry requirements
_Academic requirements_ A Bachelor's degree, equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen, from an internationally recognised university. The main field of study must be classical archaeology and ancient history. _Language requirements_ Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6. This requirement can be met either by achieving the required score on an internationally recognised test, or by previous upper secondary or university studies in some countries.
