Overview
Do you want to deepen your understanding of abstract theories, model complex systems, or analyse financial flows? The Master’s Programme in Mathematics at Uppsala University offers three tracks: Theoretical Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Statistics, and Financial Mathematics. You gain strong analytical skills, freedom to choose from a wide range of courses, also beyond your chosen track, and close contact with active researchers in an international environment. In Theoretical Mathematics, you study mathematics as a logical and creative science, building a solid foundation for doctoral studies and demanding analytical roles. Applied Mathematics and Statistics focuses on modelling and analysing systems in science, technology, economy, and society, with opportunities to specialise in data analysis, machine learning, and computational science. Financial Mathematics combines mathematics, statistics, economics, and computer science to prepare you for advanced work in the financial sector.
