Overview
The Master's Programme in Pharmaceutical Science comprises four semesters (2 years), 120 credits. The programme gives the possibility to study advanced courses in pharmaceutical science. The mandatory courses of the programme include advanced courses in pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical bioscience, pharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, clinical pharmacy and pharmacoepidemiology. Also included in the programme is a degree project in pharmacy of 30 credits. The programme also includes elective courses for example in pharmaceutical science, chemistry and bioscience. Completion of the programme results in a degree of Master of Pharmaceutical Science. It is also possible to obtain a degree of Master of Science in Pharmacy by taking the mandatory courses of the Master's Programme in Pharmaceutical Science as well as the degree project in pharmacy (30 credits) and a course in applied pharmacy practice. In order to qualify for the Master's Programme in Pharmaceutical Science and to be able to obtain a degree of Master of Science in Pharmacy it is necessary to have a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy of at least 180 credits.
