Kursen innebär att man under handledning skriver ett självständigt uppsatsarbete i idéhistoria om 30 hp. Uppsatsämne utformas i samråd med kursansvarig lärare och/eller handledare. Studenten förväntas själv vara aktiv i formulerandet av uppsatsämne. Kursen utgör ett examensarbete för en tvåårig Masterexamen. Kursen består av ett moment: *Moment 1: Uppsats (30 hp)* Studenten ska skriva en vetenskapligt dokumenterad uppsats om ett idéhistoriskt problem och försvara den på ett seminarium. Vidare ska hon/han aktivt delta i seminarier där uppsatser behandlas och vara opponent vid ett uppsatsseminarium.

Entry requirements
Univ: 30 hp kurser på avancerad nivå i idéhistoria, eller motsvarande. Engelska och svenska för grundläggande behörighet för högskolestudier (om kursen ges på svenska). Förkunskaper om 60 hp kurser i idéhistoria på avancerad nivå rekommenderas.
