Overview
Mathematical modelling has a basic role in physics, engineering, economics and computer science. The aim for the course is to develop knowledge as well as ability in this type of mathematical modelling. Several computational aids and the typesetting program LaTeX will be studied. A central part of the course is a project work that should be presented in a written report as well as presented verbally.

30 credits in mathematics at the advanced level including on of the courses 4MA423 Mathematical Cryptography, 4MA424 Coding Theory, or on of the courses 4MA412 Distribution Theory, 4MA430 Calculus Advanced Course II, or on of the courses 4MA503 Stochastic Analysis, 4MA502 Insurance Mathematics.
