Kursens inriktning och innehåll är huvudsakligen laborativt med många praktiska övningar på fysikaliska experiment från design till rapportering. Kursens fokus ligger på mätteknik och mätmetoder som är tillämpbara inom energisystemområdet, mätvärdesbehandling (mätosäkerhetsberäkningar, minsta kvadratanpassningar, diagramritning), datorstyrning av mätinstrument och mätdatainsamling, samt elektriska givare och dess anslutningar.

120 credits in science/engineering including Scientific Computing for Data Analysis, Basic Mathematical Statistics, Power Engineering and Technical Thermodynamics. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.
