Overview
Kursen ger dig översikt över migrationsforskning och forskning om tid i sociologi. Under kursen belyses migration med hjälp av olika tidsteoretiska ingångar och begrepp som hjälper dig att förstå migration på olika och delvis nya sätt. Migration handlar inte bara om geografisk rörlighet utan också om tid, samhällsförändring och individuella liv. Under kursen belyses migrationsprocessers förändring över tid och i relation till samhällsförändringar. Migration påverkas också av lagar och policy som har konsekvenser för individuella handlingsmöjligheter och livsbanor. Som studerande får du möjlighet att fördjupa dig i någon av kursens bärande tematiker genom att till exempel belysa relationer mellan individuella migrationsprocesser, institutionella omständigheter, och hur människor skapar mening under dessa omständigheter.
