Overview
The course aims to give a deep understanding of eukaryotic molecular biology. It covers the eukaryotic cell cycle, intracellular signaling, the cytoskeleton, molecular chaperones and protein folding, cancer cell biology and nucleopore transport. The aim is to put these processes in the context of human diseases. <br> The course format is lectures, seminars, laboratory classes. Each student also completes an individual project that is presented both at a minisymposium and as a scientific review article.

Entry requirements
Students must have successfully completed basic courses in biology comprising 60 credits in the subject areas of cell biology, molecular genetics, evolution, botanical and zoological physiology, ecology and biodiversity and systematics, or equivalent. English proficiency is required to the level of English 6/English Course B from Swedish Upper Secondary School, or be certified by an internationally recognized test, for example TOEFL, IELTS. In addition a completed depth course of 15 credits in a relevant area is also required.
