Overview
This course provides you with in-depth knowledge of sociological perspectives on rationality and morality. You will learn how theories of rationality and morality have developed and how they are put to use in contemporary sociological research. The course deals with how actions can be understood and explained on the basis of moral or rational premises, how conceptions of right and wrong are regulated and expressed in different contexts and how they vary between different groups.

Entry requirements
A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) within the social sciences including at least 30 credits in sociology. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6. This requirement can be met either by achieving the required score on an internationally recognised test, or by previous upper secondary or university studies in some countries.
