Multilingual Research

The course provides advanced theoretical knowledge in multilingualism. You get an orientation in the area's central problems, theoretical starting points, approaches and working methods. Your ability to critically review and evaluate scientific literature is trained by reading linguistic studies and discussing their possibilities and limitations. You also get to reflect critically on the research ethical principles and aspects of the investigations. In addition, you will have the opportunity to discuss how the research relates to current debates about multilingualism in society. Within the course, the opportunity is also given for individual deepening, as one of the tasks is to plan a small study and reflect on theoretical, methodological and ethical considerations in connection with it. The course gives you knowledge that prepares you for thesis writing and further research.
