Overview
Kursen ger ämnesorienterade grundkunskaper om musei- och kulturarvssektorn samt insikt om den verksamhet som samlas under det internationella museibegreppet: lokala, regionala och nationella museer. Häri ingår kunskaper om institutioners och myndigheters historiska rötter samt vilka värderingar och motiv som fram till nutiden styrt definierandet av kulturmiljöer, naturområden, industri- och teknikminnen etc. Kursen förmedlar även aspekter på insamling och bearbetning av museologiskt primärmaterial (i första hand materiella kulturspår). Kursen kan läsas som fristående kurs eller som termin 1 på Branschutbildningen för museer och kulturarv.
