Overview
Musik används i många olika berättande sammanhang. Förutom i traditionella genrer som t.ex. musikteatern har musiken i dag en viktig funktion inom film, datorspel och andra media. Berättande drag finns inom vokalmusik världen över och från olika tider. I den här kursen studeras musik och berättande utifrån exempel hämtade från ovanstående genrer. Avsikten är att nå en djupare förståelse av musikens betydelse i dessa sammanhang. Teoretiska perspektiv, som exempelvis performativitet och narratologi, diskuteras och används som grund för analyser av olika musikstycken. Undervisningen består av föreläsningar och seminarier.
