Overview
The course comprises two modules. Module 1 This module includes both practical and theoretical components aimed at enabling students to model voice leading and harmony from various musical periods using the piano. It also covers: familiarity with choral repertoire, tone color shaping, intonation, and musical communication in choral singing, plus exercises in conducting and baton techniques. Module 2 This module involves practical and theoretical studies across diverse musical styles, including a combination of music theory, composition, and ear training, orchestration and arrangement for big band, practical ear training in groups, and cultural and intellectual history.
