Overview
During this course students carry out an independent research project, in the form of a master’s thesis, on an area of musicological relevance. The aim of the course is both to develop the ability to reason from a musicological perspective and to equip students with the tools to carry out a scientific study to develop knowledge about a specific music-related research field. The course is based on knowledge of scientific theory and method discussed in earlier courses of the Master's program (Music, Human Beings and Technologies, Research on Music in its Many Forms, Methods and Methodologies in Music Research: Theory and Practice).
