Overview
Kursen omfattar centrala nervsystemets anatomi och organisation, neurotransmittorsystem samt etablerade samband mellan olika hjärnregioner och fysiologiska funktioner. Vidare behandlas viktiga neurotransmittorer, deras receptorer och effektormekanismer och samband med olika neurologiska/psykiatriska sjukdomar. Teorier om olika neurologiska/psykiatriska sjukdomars uppkomst och behandling kommer att studeras, liksom experimentella modeller för studier av biokemiska, molekylära och funktionella förändringar i CNS.
