This course is an introduction to numerical analysis and scientific computing. It covers: * error estimation and convergence analysis for numerical methods * an overview of approximation theory, orthogonal polynomials * non-linear equations * numerical linear algebra, linear equation systems, eigenvalue problems * numerical integration * interpolation and extrapolation * ordinary differential equations with initial and boundary value problems.
