Overview
I kursen studeras människans energi- och näringsbehov utifrån makronutrienterna och de mest centrala mikronutrienternas funktion och omsättning. Vidare behandlas relativ energibrist bland idrottare (REI) och dess konsekvenser på hälsa och prestation. I kursen studeras och diskuteras också hur olika kostmönster inverkar på människokroppen, samt förebyggande åtgärder mot fetma och REI. Dessutom studeras rekommendationer för energi- och näringsintag beroende på fysisk aktivitetsnivå. Slutligen identifieras och problematiseras utmaningar med en ekonomiskt, socialt och miljömässigt hållbar kosthållning.
