En utmaning i teologiska studier är sambandet mellan bibliska studier och konstruktiv teologi. Bibeln är det viktigaste källdokumentet för kristen teologisk konstruktion, vilket kräver insikt i historisk och litterär analys av bibeln. Många bibelforskare vill öppna för en dialog mellan bibeln och dagens kyrka, där de två kan utmana varandra. Syftet med denna kurs är att föra samman dessa två världar av bibliska studier och konstruktiv teologi. Det sker genom att beskriva biblisk teologi som en disciplin som både beskriver trosföreställningar genom bibelns epoker och formulerar de erfarenheter texterna uttrycker på ett sätt som kan lyfta fram frågor om bibelns budskap och mening som livstolkande text.

Grundläggande behörighet. Kurser i teologi 60 hp, inklusive gammaltestamentlig eller nytestamentlig textkurs om minst 7,5 hp, eller motsvarande.
