Overview
I kursen ges en introduktion till modellering och lösning av problem där vi söker den optimala lösningen av en funktion. Optimeringsproblem både med och utan bivillkor behandlas och ett flertal metoder studeras. Speciell fokus ligger på linjärprogrammering med simplexmetoden och dualitet, samt Karush-Kuhn-Tuckervillkoren. Stor vikt läggs på formulering och modellering av verkliga problem för att deltagarna senare ska kunna använda metoderna i arbetslivet.
