Overview
Kursen syftar till att studenten utvecklar teoretisk kunskap inom pediatrisk optometri. Kursen innefattar strukturell och funktionell synutveckling hos barn. Studenten lär sig också att undersöka och klassificera ögonsjukdomar, screening för ögonsjukdomar och synutvecklingsproblem samt recept på glasögon och andra typer av hjälpmedel för barn. Särskild vikt läggs på problem som leder till eller orsakas av skelning och amblyopi.

- A Bachelor's degree of at least 180 credits in Optometry or a Specialist Nursing Degree with a focus on ophthalmic care (including a 15-credit independent project), as well as 15 credits in optometry at the advanced level. - Swedish 3 or Swedish level 3 - English 6 or English level 2 or equivalent is required.
