Overview
Kursen ger en fördjupande orientering i skriftspråkets utveckling . Under kursen lär studenten sig att tolka handstilar från det tidigmoderna Sverige genom att arbeta med texter från främst 1500- och 1600-talen. Kursen riktar sig till deltagare med erfarenhet av att läsa äldre handstilar. Kunskaper i paleografi är nödvändiga för studier av äldre historia samt en viktig tillgång för den som bedriver t.ex. släkt- och lokalhistorisk forskning. Kursen ger också erfarenhet av att använda olika typer av källmaterial och kunskaper om de samhälleliga instiutioner som producerade skriftligt material. Kursen sker på distans med individuella övningar i tydande av handskrifter.
