Overview
Kursen omfattar vård av svårt sjuk och döende patient samt stöd till deras närstående, beaktande fysiska, psykiska, sociala och existentiella behov. Vårdfilosofi, etiska ställningstaganden baserade på relationsetik, miljöns betydelse och lidandets dimensioner bearbetas. Vanliga fenomen vid livshotande sjukdom och död såsom sorg, skam/skuld, tröst, hopp och mening ingår i kursen. Relevanta lagar och förordningar samt intersektionella perspektiv ingår. Kursen är uppdelad i 3 delar: Del 1 - Grunder, bärande begrepp och symtomlindring inom palliativ vård, 1 hp Del 2 - Fysiska, psykosociala och existentiella behov inom palliativ vård, total smärta, 3,5 hp Del 3 - Betydelsen av etik, estetik, kommunikation och olika fenomen vid livshotande sjukdom och död samt fördjupning om intersektionella perspektiv, 3 hp
