Overview
Kursen vill fördjupa din kännedom om historieskrivning och propaganda under antiken genom att belysa hur krigshistoria kan skrivas. Kursen vill även lära dig hur man kan läsa ett antikt drama både som skönlitteratur och som historisk informationskälla. Kursen problematiserar slutligen frågan om varför bilder med teatrala motiv använts t.ex. på sarkofager i Etrurien samt på sarkofager från kejsartidens Rom. Du kommer även att få lära dig bildtolkningens teori och metod.
